Hareram Khadka, the first IFGMA/UIAGM guide from Terai, was born in Subarnapur-7, Parsa. Mr. Khadka became intrigued in hiking and mountaineering after being inspired by one of his uncles, who works as a trekking guide. In the year 2000, he began his profession in tourism. Mr Khadka has won the National Lead Climbing Championship three times. He began mountaineering in late 2007, and in 2013 and 2018, he finished his aspirant guide training and mountaineering course.
Mr. Khadka’s first 6000m peak ascent was Island Peak (6189m), and he has climbed more than 15 different 6000m peaks since 2013. Mr. Khadka also had the opportunity to climb the Manaslu mountain with a French group led by Anselme Baud. In June of 2021, he reached the summit of Mt. Sagarmatha, the world’s highest peak.
