Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Tethys Himalayas will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city or preparing for the trek.
After breakfast, you will go on a guided sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu, including Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. Later, a briefing session with the Tethys Himalayas team will be conducted to discuss the climb and check gear.
An early morning scenic flight to Lukla sets the journey in motion. Upon arrival, the trek begins towards Phakding, a small Sherpa village, where we will stay overnight.
Today’s trek takes us through forests, suspension bridges, and the Dudh Koshi River before a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, the bustling gateway to the Everest region.
To adjust to the altitude, we spend an extra day in Namche Bazaar. We explore the town, visit the Sherpa Museum, or hike to the Everest View Hotel for stunning mountain panoramas.
