Today, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). Later, attend a trek briefing and gear check conducted by Tethys Himalayas.
A scenic flight takes you to Pokhara, Nepal’s adventure hub. Spend the day boating on Phewa Lake, visiting Davis Falls, or exploring the lakeside area before the trek begins.
A thrilling morning flight takes you to Jomsom, the gateway to Upper Mustang. The trek to Kagbeni follows the Kali Gandaki River, offering breathtaking views of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri.
The trail leads through rugged landscapes and passes traditional villages like Tangbe before reaching Chele, where the Tibetan influence becomes more apparent.
Climbing steep ridges, you will cross Taklam La Pass (3,624m) and descend through small settlements. The landscape shifts to barren desert terrain, typical of the Mustang region.
Today’s trek involves crossing the Nyi La Pass (4,010m) before descending into Ghami, a village known for its beautiful mani walls (Buddhist prayer inscriptions).
A relatively short trek leads to Charang, a village with ancient monasteries, whitewashed houses, and breathtaking views of the Mustang valleys.
The journey to Lo Manthang, the capital of the former Kingdom of Mustang, is one of the highlights of the trek. You will witness breathtaking landscapes, unique Tibetan culture, and the walled city of Lo Manthang.
Spend the day exploring Lo Manthang, visiting its ancient monasteries, the royal palace, and caves adorned with Buddhist murals. Tethys Himalayas also arranges visits to nearby villages like Chhoser, known for sky caves.
Retracing the route, you will pass through arid landscapes and remote settlements before arriving at Dhakmar, a village famous for its red cliffs and caves.
Descending through rocky trails and barren hills, the trek reaches Ghiling, offering spectacular views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.
Continuing the return journey, you will cross multiple ridges and follow the Kali Gandaki River back to Chhuksang.
The final trekking day takes you back to Jomsom, where you can celebrate the completion of the journey with the Tethys Himalayas team.
A scenic flight brings you back to Pokhara. Enjoy a well-earned rest by the lakeside or indulge in a soothing massage.
Return to Kathmandu either by a short flight or a scenic drive along the Prithvi Highway. The evening is free for last-minute shopping and celebration.
