The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most breathtaking and less traveled trekking routes, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and adventure. This trek circles the majestic Mount Manaslu (8,163m), the eighth-highest peak in the world, passing through remote villages, high mountain passes, and diverse landscapes. Unlike the more commercialized treks, Manaslu provides a raw and authentic experience, ideal for those seeking solitude and a deep connection with the Himalayas.
Organized by Tethys Himalayas, this trek takes adventurers through the Manaslu Conservation Area, home to rare wildlife such as snow leopards, Himalayan tahr, and red pandas. Trekkers will pass through lush forests, roaring rivers, and steep ridges, all while being surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The journey follows the ancient salt-trading route along the Budhi Gandaki River, gradually ascending to higher elevations and revealing spectacular views at every turn.
One of the highlights of the Manaslu Circuit Trek is crossing the Larkya La Pass (5,160m), the highest point of the trek. This challenging yet rewarding ascent offers panoramic views of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and other towering peaks. The descent leads into the Annapurna region, completing a circuit that blends cultural immersion with awe-inspiring landscapes. The region is dotted with Tibetan-influenced villages, where trekkers can experience the warm hospitality of locals and visit ancient monasteries.
With Tethys Himalayas, trekkers can expect expert guidance, well-planned itineraries, and a focus on safety and sustainability.
