Mera Peak Climbing -18 Days

Mera Peak Climbing -18 Days

Trip Overview

Mera Peak Climbing is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal, offering a thrilling adventure for climbers seeking to experience the majestic Himalayas. Standing at 6,476 meters (21,247 feet), Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal, providing breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga. This climb is perfect for those with basic mountaineering skills who want to challenge themselves in a high-altitude environment while enjoying the pristine beauty of the Khumbu region.

The journey to Mera Peak begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by an acclimatization trek through remote valleys, lush forests, and traditional Sherpa villages. Unlike the crowded Everest Base Camp trek, the Mera Peak route is less traveled, allowing climbers to experience solitude and the untouched beauty of the Himalayas. The trail passes through Hinku Valley, offering stunning landscapes and diverse terrain before reaching Mera Base Camp at 5,300 meters.

Climbing Mera Peak is considered non-technical, but it requires strong physical endurance and proper acclimatization. The summit push involves navigating glaciers and using basic mountaineering equipment such as crampons, ice axes, and ropes. The final ascent is challenging due to the high altitude, but the reward is an unparalleled panoramic view from the summit. With proper guidance and preparation, climbers of various experience levels can achieve this remarkable feat.

Tethys Himalayas provides expert-guided expeditions to Mera Peak, ensuring safety, comfort, and a memorable experience. Their experienced climbing guides, well-planned itineraries, and high-quality logistics help climbers successfully reach the summit while prioritizing acclimatization and safety.
